I earned a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology (OISE/UT), and am currently completing doctoral studies in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I hold a certificate in Narrative Therapy (Intensive) from the Narrative Therapy Centre of Toronto.
I also earned Bachelors degrees in Philosophy and Sociology, as well as Film Production
My graduate training engaged me in current trends and ideas in individual psychotherapy, group process, family and couples counselling, professional ethics, brief counselling strategies and critical diversity issues in counselling.
My post-graduate training offered me coursework, clinical practica and internships in process experiential emotion-focused (PE/EFT), relational (e.g. interpersonal, intersubjectivity, and relational-cultural) approaches to psychotherapy in general, mixed psychotherapeutic approaches to working through complex (relational) trauma in particular, and clinical supervision
Professional Memberships and Associations
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I follow the Code of Ethics and the Standards of Practice of the CRPO.
I am also a “Canadian Certified Counsellor” registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
As a regular feature of my practice, I seek individual clinical consultation from another relational psychotherapist. I am also part of a peer consultation group of psychotherapists working in private practice.
