About me

The way that I think draws on over 20 years’ experience in social justice movements and front line work within communities facing oppression, where I continue to grow in my practice of feminist, anti-racist, queer-positive and trans-affirmative ways of understanding the world.

The ways in which I listen and create meaning have their roots in my film and photography practices.  As I was completing my studies in narrative and experimental film production,  I immersed myself in learning how to grasp and express the felt sense of a story.  I began to emphasize the very inside of what it was like to experience events, rather than the precise rendition of the events themselves.  I continue to develop this sensibility to deepen my ways of listening to you.
