My clinical practica and internships have taken place in hospital, community health care, and post-secondary settings.
My doctoral research focused on counsellor (therapist) development and the dynamics of power and intersubjectivity in clinical supervision relationships. I have been formally studying yoga since 2012. I have received training in pranayama (focus on breath work), pratyahara, and nada yoga (yoga of sound) from Toronto-based registered yoga teachers who studied in the Sivananda Vedanta tradition. For the past 7 years, I have also received regular one-on-one instruction as part of my own yoga therapy from Toronto-based certified yoga therapists who studied in the direct lineage of T.K.V. Desikachar. I bring this knowledge to the ways in which I listen in therapy, to the somatic resources I develop with clients, and to help identify and understand somatic countertransference as part of the clinical supervision I offer.
- Biweekly clinical consultation in relational psychotherapy
